Makossa artist Ben Decca grabs for the second time, “song of the year” award with his title SOUFFRANCE D’AMOUR. The red carpet event on the 12 of December 2019 was an arena for Salatiel to share some of the difficulties they face living out of their North west or South west lands. “We had our label in Buea but for a year now, we are now seeking refuge in Douala”.Up coming Kameni was crowned 2019 female revelation in a category where she had to contest with Lydol and Ela Nao. Aveiro Djess won the trophy in the male category against Ful, Gomez and Brice N. BMA 2019, left many music fans happy to see that the younger generation is keeping the Cameroon music industry alive and vibrant. Stanley Enow won best collaboration with his title MY WAY featuring Locko and Tzy Panchak. Nabila was crowned female voice of the year alongside Locko for the male category.
Daphne NJIE always contesting in the female voice category alongside Charlotte Dipanda was victorious this 2019 accompanied by the boss of Alpha betta records Salatiel for the male voice. It was a double victory for Salatiel who also won best video clip with his song ANITA. Meanwhile Locko got his second BMA trophy in the category Album of the year. His recent and second album CLOUD 9, gave him victory over Charlotte Dipanda and Coco Argentee. For this seventh edition, Nyangono du Sud received Balafon special title and George Dickson got Balafon d’honneur.
